70% of the time NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE AND THE OTHER 30% YOU GET TRANSFERRED TO THE WRONG DEPARTMENT.
The repairs department can't seem to figure anything out on their own. They need to send your property out to God knows who. In fact the "tech" guy who checked my laptop in also did deliveries. That doesn't sound like a tech guy.
I'd like to do more. This wasn't just a piece of equipment for fun. This is for work and school.
They got the stuff I want. Service people are great and helpful. But, sashiers and management were super LOUSY. I'd fire all those lazy cashiers and whoever in charge of them. It's ridiculous. I went to get some usb cables and headphone and got stuck an hour to check out because there's only 2 cashiers and they're super lazy. The others just walk around and won't open up other counters. One old dude got really mad and got the manager out but that manager said he can't help. Enough said.
Really interesting store. It's almost a cross between a giant RadioShack a Big Lots and Best Buy. This store sells everything from appliances to electronics to "as seen on TV" products. The selection is interesting but kind of unorganized.
They freaking suck.
I visited Fry's to pick up a simple battery pack for a set of servers. The staff was very helpful.. BUT their management is terrible! The box was not only opened but smashed. When I asked the clerk for a discount because the could have been a return. The manager.. response was oh it has plastic on it so it's fine. And then she proceeded to walk away as if she did not care about her customers. Maybe someday she'll realize her paycheck comes from her customers
Then when I returned it they didn't have what I wanted but I NEEDED something right away. I was desperate. I got what they had instead of going somewhere else. HUGE MISTAKE!
No one calls you to update you on anything. You have to call THEM to figure out what the hell is happening.
I'm also reporting them to BBB. Probably won't do anything but I'm doing it anyway.
Oh yeah, I forgot the first laptop they sold me was a used one that was still registered to someone else. It was supposed to be new.
Then they keep your property for weeks to months, only to finally tell you the issue isn't covered by the warranty they fooled you into buying.
I don't know how they have a 3.8. I suspect some of the better reviews are from people who work there.
I've made it my business to tell everyone I know and meet never to shop there or any other location.
No one there knows anything about the products they carry or electronics in general.
Just left frys after the first time and it was great! We were looking for a laptop, and after picking it out the nice lady at the computer section helped us pick out a sleeve and gave us a discount on Microsoft Office. We then followed her to the cashier area where she further helped us get another small discount! The employees are helpful and attentive and I'm excited to go again!
Also, it took almost 3 hours to drop my laptop off for service. When I finally was told to come pick it up, no one was at the repairs desk. I went to find someone in another department and was told they were ALL on break at the SAME TIME. I was fed up so as politely as possible I insisted to that employee that I be given my laptop so I could go.
I am so mad I bought my laptop from them. I hate that I gave them my business.
