Easy hike and parking. Why doesn't it open early ? Great views of Fremont

Go watch the sunset. U won't regret. Travel is bit odd coz of one way.

This place is amazing, great, and definitely offers a new, recently-opened, experience. The park offers a great view from above, allowing anyone to see all the way to the the tip of the peninsula, on a cloudy day, anyways, from the amazing provided viewing area. In addition, the park has a new, recently built bathroom, as well as a decently-sized expanded parking lot. The trails are relatively narrow and short, compared to other parks, but still offer hikers, bikers, and riders a scenic view of the South Bay, Niles Canyon, and potential view of the Sunol Town Area. The trail also leads the explorers through a small forest, through the hills, past ponds and streams, and past dense fields of grass. Beware though, since the park is relatively new you may encounter snakes, through they seem to be afraid of people, as they're really small. However, you may meet other interesting creatures such as ground squirrels, lizards, and even potentially turkeys and deer. In addition, be aware of the approaching road to the park from Morrison Canyon Road, as it is only a one lane paved alley, shared by two way traffic, hikers, and bikers. Although it has turnabouts, it is highly suggested to approach from Highway 680, where there is a mostly two laned bidirectional road. Besides that, this is definitely an amazing place to check out for riding, hiking, nature watching, and photography!

Excellent place for runs and hikes. Not crowded, with lots of shade

Great views of the bay area from the top of the hills overlooking Fremont, Union City, etc. Watch out for mismarked maps. Map at restroom wall is right, hand out map is wrong. Cliff trail and deer gulch switched.
